About the founder

I was born with the “how hard can it be” gene.  If i can make it myself then i cant be stopped!  I’ve taught myself how to paint, crochet, sew and cook. I guess you can say that my hobby is collecting hobbies.  My name is Rikki, I’m a christian, wife, stay at home mother to two boys, and a DIY enthusiast.

I’ve always had a love of weddings, dresses, cakes, florals, you name it!  That passion followed me through high school and college where I had amazing experiences working for a florist and a bridal store during that time.  After finishing my associates I started working my way up the management ladder in various retail stores.  I ended up at Altard state where my experience in customer service really grew.  I loved their mission to help others and I fell in love with getting to work closely with customers.  During my time there I was in charge of Customer appreciation and part of that was building relations with everyone and planning events to show appreciation to our customers.  My time there was so rewarding with experience that will elevate my own business.

Fast forward to my wedding.  I knew exactly what I wanted for the longest time but we were on a budget and didn't have an option to hire a wedding planner.  The biggest obstacle I faced was hiring a wedding planner.  Most that I interacted with couldn’t work with my budget.  I had the vision and could implement a lot of it myself, I just wanted a little guidance in the process.  Ultimately we didn’t hire someone and this experience has shaped my goals and values for my own business today.

I believe my experience with my wedding, crafting, retail and management can empower brides to be creative and achieve their desires for their wedding.

As I finish my certification with Lovegevity University I’m starting to think about the next steps in my career.  Although my kids are young and still need me at home I will pursue more experience with internships, venues and finding ways to work with brides.  I'm excited to get back to work and help others and share my experience with any new bride.
